Usually I get water when I eat out. It's free and I actually like it. There were a couple of times where I went to pay and the owner asked if I had a drink and when I replied that I had water, he jokingly asked if "but did you have ice?". I doubt he'd ever charge anyone for ice, but the joke felt distasteful.
Unfortunately, I've stopped going to this establishment and here's why
It's only brought tears to my eyes 8 times, though I've only ate here 7.
One time I arrived and the chips and salsa seemed a little off. There weren't many chips in the basket and the salsa didn't look like it was just poured. No worries, not every batch is perfect right? At least that's what I thought until I dug in to find a soggy chip already in the salsa.
One of my favorite restaurants of all time. The amount of delicious food you get for the price is unbeatable! Try anything.. Its all good!
Another time the salsa had hair in it. When I approached the owner, he laughed and jokingly asked the bus boy (who was bald) if it was his. When I asked for a fresh batch, he seemed annoyed.
In true Texas form, the breakfast tacos are incredible! Don't order the XL unless you plan to split it with two other people. Homemade tortillas are top shelf. Decor is old school but who cares, your taste buds will thank you for stopping by...
With these things in mind, it just made me wonder what other corners were cut in order to save money and I decided it wasn't a good idea to continue to come. Too bad though, because that XL enchilada was really good.
Likely the most beautiful handiwork of meal stuffs in the world, But since I haven't traveled the world I can't be entirely certain.
I understand trying to save money, but giving a customer the leftovers from another table doesn't seem sanitary.
It seriously is super good. Please eat here.
The food here is good. Won't deny that. And it's not a bad price for what you get.
The staff was friendly, the food fast and they aren't kidding about the size of their burritos! This is a small hole in the wall kind of place that's easily missed but worth the visit. My new favorite burrito place! The XL is larger than a foot long sub..
