I love bike shops. More often than not the people who own them and work there are passionate about cycling, as well as unquestionably honest and fair. In addition, good bike shops dispense good advice. Pedal Power is exactly this kind of shop. Andrew helped me place a special order for a bicycle not normally carried in stock and I was pleasantly surprised how quickly he was able to get it for me and Drew was great in pointing out things that I needed to make sure to watch for in dealing with the carbon fiber seat post and protecting the hydraulic brakes when removing wheels-----two things I never would have known had he not taken the initiative to tell me.
Even the customers that were there were happy to be there. THANKS!!

Used to be my favorite shop, they couldn't get my brakes working on my disc brake trek. Went through new pads, rotor and brake bleed... charged me for all of it and they still squeaked like crazy. Wanted 50 for a new caliper then. The hub downtown charged my 30 installed. Still very polite people at pedal power and great selection. Just wish there service are was quicker. Usually a 3 day turn around. Other local shops almost always are done the day of.
Tamara and her entire staff are amazing! I want to give special thanks as well to Andrew. My wife and I are new to cycling. We went to Pedal Power on our Harley Davidson Motorcycle and believe it or not we were a bit intimidated. We walked in and introduced ourselves and told Andrew we were new to the sport and needed help to choose a bike. He did not try to sell us an expensive one. As a matter of fact he did just the opposite. He started showing us an entry level TREK bike and we settled on a model that was a few steps up from entry level. We love our bikes and we love this shop! Before we purchased, we went to two other shops and neither one came close to Pedal Power. They are the BEST! Keep up the outstanding customer service and congratulations Andrew on your promotion to sales manager. Well deserved as Tamara noted on the website!
Everything is exceptionally priced (coming from someone who used to go expensive bike shops in Austin). For instance, I bought a new set of locking, ergonomic, gel-hybrid handles for my bike. Pretty much top of the line at their store as far as handles go. They installed them for free and the total cost came out to around $40 and some change.

Answered every question we had. Very knowledgeable staff and very helpful. We purchased a new Trek for my son. He test rode 3 bikes. Everyone that worked there wanted to help us and they seemed happy to be at work on a Saturday. Great place great bike shop!!
They ordered the parts and started repairing the cassettes, cables, installing the new handles, and did a full tune up in five days (they had to special order a part). The bike rides like a GD cloud now.
Biggest thing that stuck out for me was the fact that their staff was very open and honest. They did not try to sell me things I did not need and they were not pushy at all. Should I get a new chain for this bike? The mechanic's answer was "Honestly, you could probably get another 300-500 miles out of that chain, and I would just do that. No need to spend the money on a new chain now."
