Somehow let my brakes get metal to metal. Went in to AAMCO San Marcos on a Saturday morning expecting a long day and a hefty bill. Happily got in and out in no time with new rotors and pads for much less than I expected. Great customer service. Will definitely come back
Took my wife's car in for torque shudder they said it needed to be rebuilt it still had torque shudder after they finished as it turns out the torque shudder was caused by sub par fluid being used by another local place and them but that isn't the whole story apparently while they were doing the rebuild they stripped a bolt in the subframe and never bothered to repair it which in turn caused the bushings in my rack and pinion to wear out prematurely putting me and my family at risk... I would avoid this shop like the plague...
If you want great service at a great price then this is the place to be. I am not from this state and when I needed my transmission replaced these guys were on top of it and I have never looked back. Fred the owner and his crew provide top notch service. Some people on here may not agree but that's their opinion but they may have not liked what was told to them and probably gave them attitude.These boys have a cool head, they have to because they want your business and will go above and beyond to make sure they have solved the problem and to make the customer happy. Always a very pleasant and professional experience. They never try to rip me off on prices like other "oil change specialist" out there. Always a fair price, and they always come through. While waiting on simple maintenance for my vehicle I've overheard conversations they've had with customers, and I'm always enlightened. They will always be my go to place for maintenance, and if need be major repairs.
CUSTOMER BE AWARE OF SCAMMCO. I took my car to get a simple brake caliper done. almost two weeks later i found that it greasy dirt all on my leather interior and on my stereo and sunroof and floor. Then i noticed that they had put 100 miles on my car. I told the owner (Fred) and his response was test driving. For 100 miles i don't think so. I clearly could see someone was driving it as my passenger seat was moved back and my back seat had dirt on the floor and foot prints on the back of my passenger seat like a kid was back there. To make matters worse the back of my bumper too massive damage you can see they clearly backed or hit something from the very deep gashes and missing paint. I then told the owner (Fred) and his response was road debris. I don't know what kind of road debris would cause that amount of damage unless they were joy riding in my car. I tried to file a claim through Scamco insurance but of course their insurance sided with them and did not want to pay for the damages that clearly happened while in their care. BE VERY AWARE OF SCAMCO. TAKE PICS OR VIDEO ALL AROUND OF YOUR VEHICLE INSIDE AND OUT AND MAKE SURE TO GET THE MILEAGE! I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else!:-((
