The San Marcos River is beautiful and the small water fall here is so relaxing to listen to! Great place to have a picnic, relax and just enjoy being outside.
This is my favorite park. It is always clean and it just has so much space to explore!!! The water is gorgeous. It is definitely a place you can go with family to swim and grill out
Rio Vista has everything in a beautiful park you want for your family to have outdoor fun in a safe environment. A natural waterfall & rapids, a small island, picnic areas, pavilions, tennis & basketball courts, a public swimming pool with a kiddie splash, & so much more. A row of porta johns are centrally located. Security's presence is seen throughout the day monitoring the park premises. Maintenance is constantly picking up trash at designated points. All 50+/- of our family members who used the facilities were pleased and had nothing but praise for Rio Vista Park.
Best place EVER!!!! My family and I come every summer at least three to four times or more, we can't get enough of this place. The water is beautiful, feels great plus a great place just to make memories and enjoy with your family.
This is a relatively small park. While it is free, parking can be found mostly on the street. The on-site parking is minimal. There is a running/walking trail however, there is no lighting feature for night jogs. This park also provides river access.
