Boyfriend and I went to tantra for a beer while waiting, came back after about 25 minutes and I went to use the tiny but clean bathroom (before we left) to discover someone had come in and upended a huge trashcan onto the floor in the bathroom. Couldn't even push the door open anymore. No idea why someone would do that.
The front loading washers are relatively new and work well. There are eight of them. These look a lot safer to me than the top loading washers.
Good prices. old, but functional
They have huge front loading washers here that are great for comforters but cost $5 on quarters for 1 load. The dryers are equally huge (kinda old though) at $0.25 per 6min, with a minimum of $0.75 per load. Took 1hr for a single comforter to dry (it had balled up).
Now way over priced. Spincity Washeteria is where you should go if you need a laundromat.
I would not leave clothes unattended here personally. On the plus side it's easy to avoid crowds. I didn't see a single person at 7-8:30 in the morning on a Tuesday.
None of the dryers seem to stand out as much more reliable than any of the others.
Place is really junky and not well-kept. Some trash and abandoned clothing laying around. But really there's nothing much better in San Marcos. I normally drive out to Wimberley where there's a nice, clean, credit cards accepted place.
NOTE: Sometimes this place is randomly closed without warning.
Drier took my money but would not work, no one available to help fix the problem. And the phone number listed is disconnected. I feel they are there to take money and rip you off, other wise they would have number to reach them.
